Our Services

  • All services at Safe Bridge Family Services begin with a structured intake and case review process to ensure court compliance, child safety, and service appropriateness. Intake is administrative and safety-focused in nature and is not therapeutic or evaluative.

    Initial Intake Session

The intake session occurs prior to the start of any supervised visitation or exchange services and includes a comprehensive review of court-ordered requirements and case-specific considerations.

During intake, Safe Bridge Family Services:

    • Reviews current court orders and stipulations

    • Confirms the scope and limits of supervision

    • Identifies safety concerns or restrictions outlined by the court

    • Clarifies logistics, scheduling, and service expectations

    • Reviews policies regarding neutrality, conduct, and documentation

Each participating party is informed of:

    • The non-therapeutic nature of services

    • Supervisor neutrality and role limitations

    • Documentation and reporting practices

    • Expectations for compliance and behavior

Correspondence With Attorneys and Guardians ad Litem

When appropriate and permitted by the court order, Safe Bridge Family Services communicates directly with attorneys and Guardians ad Litem to ensure accurate implementation of court directives.

    Correspondence may include:

    • Verification or clarification of court orders

    • Confirmation of service availability and scope

    • Scheduling coordination

    • Administrative updates related to compliance or attendance

    • Notification of safety-related incidents, if required

    All communication is:

    • Factual and professional

    • Limited to the scope of court-ordered services

    • Documented in the case record

    • Neutral and non-advocacy-based

Safe Bridge Family Services does not provide legal opinions, recommendations, or advocacy for any party.

    Safety Review & Case Acceptance

As part of intake, each case undergoes a safety and appropriateness review to determine:

    • Whether supervised visitation or exchange is appropriate under the order

    • The required level of supervision

    • Any environmental or logistical considerations

    • Whether services can be provided safely and ethically

Safe Bridge Family Services reserves the right to decline or pause services if:

    • Court orders are unclear or incomplete

    • Safety risks exceed the scope of supervised visitation

    • Required documentation or permissions are not provided

  • Safe Bridge Family Services provides court-ordered supervised visitation for families involved in custody, dependency, DFCS, and high-conflict cases throughout Gwinnett County, Hall County, and Forsyth County.

Supervised visitation is a structured service in which a trained, neutral third-party supervisor is present for the entire visit between a child and a parent or caregiver, as directed by a court order. The purpose of supervision is to ensure child safety, monitor compliance with court-ordered conditions, and reduce risk during contact.

    How Supervised Visits Work

    Prior to each visit:

    • The supervising monitor reviews the applicable court order

    • Visit parameters (location, duration, restrictions) are confirmed

    • Safety protocols and boundaries are established

    During the visit, the supervisor:

    • Remains present and attentive for the full duration

    • Maintains a neutral, non-intrusive stance

    • Ensures interactions remain within court-ordered guidelines

    • Intervenes only when necessary to address safety or compliance concerns

    • Documents the visit using objective, behavior-based observations

Supervisors do not coach, direct, or engage in parenting instruction unless explicitly required for safety.

    Visit Locations

    Supervised visits may occur in:

    • Designated visitation settings

    • Community-based locations approved by the court order

    • Other court-approved environments following safety screening

Location selection is based on the court’s directives, safety considerations, and appropriateness for the child’s age and needs.

    Documentation & Reporting

Each supervised visit includes professional documentation that may reflect:

    • Date, time, and length of visit

    • Attendance and punctuality

    • General observations of interactions

    • Compliance with court-ordered conditions

    • Any safety concerns or notable incidents

    All documentation is:

    • Objective and factual

    • Time-based and behaviorally descriptive

    • Maintained securely

    • Available to the court or authorized parties upon request

Safe Bridge Family Services does not provide opinions, diagnoses, or recommendations unless explicitly ordered by the court.

    Supervisor Role & Boundaries

Supervised visitation through Safe Bridge Family Services is non-therapeutic and non-evaluative.

    Supervisors:

The supervisor’s role is limited to monitoring, safety oversight, and documentation in accordance with court orders.
